About Keep Stables and Holly Linz

Keep Stables LLC has been in operation at Chapel View Farm, 2610 Jennings Chapel Road, Woodbine MD 21797 since early 2015. We offer boutique field and stall boarding set back on over 70 rolling acres, as well as training opportunities for horses and riders. 

Horse Boarding Facility in Woodbine MD, convenient to Gaithersburg, Frederick, and Baltimore : 

Amenities include a large, lit and well maintained bluestone/rubber footed outdoor arena, hot water washrack, individual tack space, a custom tailored feed program including high quality forage and feeds, indoor restrooms and lounge facilities for boarders, and a very supportive atmosphere of people committed to the well being of all the horses and riders on the farm. Our barns are well lit, with great ventilation, making them as natural for horses as possible. We manage small herds, focusing on finding the right living situation for each horse so they can thrive in their environments and are able to be happy, willing partners. Healthy, happy horses and riders are our primary goal! 

The property also enjoys direct access to miles of trails ranging from open fields to wooded areas and streams, via the Patuxent River State Park trail network and adjacent farms for unlimited cross training opportunities right off the farm!

Our number one requirement is for our boarders to be respectful and supportive of fellow riders and committed to the well being of all horses and riders on the farm!

We can help you find your next equine partner or the perfect home for your current horse. We have active groups of riders preparing for competition at recognized Dressage and Working Equitation shows, trekking out into the parkway on nearly a daily basis, and some folks committed to keeping their basics sharp in the arena just in hand. We offer a dynamic environment that supports all forms of goals. Training opportunities are regularly available for horses and riders. If developing a happy, healthy, and productive horse is your number one priority, no matter what the goal may be, then KeepStables may be for you! 

Holly Linz: Dressage and Working Equitation Trainer

Barn manager and head trainer Holly Linz always puts the health and happiness of the horse and rider first, and insists that barn staff treat all boarded horses as though they were their own.  She understands that a happy horse makes for a happy owner. Holly runs her own boarding facility so she can ensure all horses in her training program, including her own, are provided the most ideal environment to be the most capable riding partners they can be. A horses environment has a huge impact on how happy and productive they can be. 

Holly Linz is an accomplished rider, trainer, and clinician. She has studied closely under Felicitas von Neuman Cosel  for over 20 years, and has worked with numerous other national level Dressage and Working Equitation trainers and judges.  Holly’s training methods incorporate Classical Dressage principles and natural horsemanship to build dynamic understanding and communication between horses and riders. She regularly rides with top trainers and judges in multiple disciplines to continually enhance her experience and skill set  

International Dressage and Working Training opportunities abroad

Holly has begun regular making regular trips to Portugal for Classical Dressage and Working Equitation training in the country with the richest equine history in the world! 

Hollys focus is on helping horse and rider build a harmonious relationship in order to reach their full potential, by means of combining a variety of horsemanship methods. Riders of many disciplines have gained benefit from Holly’s assistance, from beginner to intermediate/advanced riders.

Fundamentals: Dressage and natural horsemanship to build better relationships

We practice classical Dressage and natural horsemanship principles to bring horses and riders together in the most effective ways to help them reach their full potential.  Whether your goal is strengthening your relationship with your horse, or reaching a new level of competition, you may find ways to reach your goals with our help.

For students interested in progressing through competition, we have an active group showing at local recognized and schooling shows in Dressage, and Working Equitation. We also regularly host clinics with recognized officials in those disciplines.
